Beating up on myself has nothing to do with discipline or goals. It's just self-loathing. I might finally be getting over it. Maybe.
Life is too short to be too hard on yourself. It's great to be self-disciplined and goal-oriented but you shouldn't beat yourself up too much. You seem to do well with a lot of things.
